Architecture allows the savoring of a slowness; It allows regression into the abstract – time; the mind, where memory resides and allows for nostalgia. Interior design on the other hand anchors one into the present moment. It regales in the newness of time, The moment of the very mundane, where it operates with the body; its scale referential to the context of the body alone, and hence relatively small, intimate and extremely sensual. It is with these sentiments that the interiors of the Dalmia House, Udaan, have been approached and executed.
